My name is Amanda Williams, I’ve owned dogs all my life and like most other dog owners I could never understand why some were angels…well behaved and quiet whilst others were monsters…unruly, uncontrollable and hard work. After all, I treated each one the same so surely they should all behave the same….or so I thought.
By the time that I found Dog Listening, I had already started to understand that to have a successful relationship with an animal I had to start communicating with them in a language they understood, and not expect them to understand my language. My work with horses and horse listening had taught me this. So I started researching how I could learn the language of the dog and it was this that brought me to Jan Fennell’s Dog Listening method. Having successfully completed both the Foundation and Advanced courses in Canine Communication, I then started working professionally with dogs and owners, helping the dogs to realise where they fitted into their pack and the owners to realise that they must hold the top ranking position of Alpha in the pack. This method has helped transform the lives of the dogs and owners that I’ve worked with.
I continue learning about dogs on a daily basis by watching the way my own dogs interact with each other. They are the best teachers I could ever have and I owe so much to them.
My work takes me around South Wales, Mid Wales and Herefordshire but I am happy to travel anywhere that a client needs me.
