Dogs Needing a New Home

We at PURE Dog Listeners are dedicated to the welfare of dogs and in particular to achieving and improving that magical relationship that can exist between man and dog. Our members go to extraordinary lengths to make things work. Sadly there are always cases where we cannot achieve perfection. It maybe that the owner cannot or will not do what is required and feels that due to family circumstances they have to rehome the dog. More often because people know of the work our members do they approach them direct stating their intention to get rid of the dog. No matter what the PDL says the decision is already made. In some cases the PDL has rescued the dog from ongoing abuse. In each and every case our members will do their best to find a suitable home for these animals.

In an effort to give these dogs the maximum exposure and thus enhance their chance of finding that special person we are listing them below. the contact details of the PURE Dog Listener dealing with each dog are shown. Please contact them direct and they can give fuller details. We hope shortly to have pictures of at least some of the dogs.

Tally

Hello. My name is Tally and I’m a 3yr old Border Collie. My life has been a little unsettled lately. Up until a month ago I was living with a family but they could no longer afford to look after me so I had to go. I was taken in by a lovely lady who gave me lots of cuddles and affection but didn’t give me any rules to live by. Because my human didn’t give me any rules to live by, i thought it meant that she wanted me to make up the rules myself and to look after her and the rest of the dogs, so I did. The other two dogs in our pack were a little odd and not very stable. So, because my lovely owner wasn’t very good at being the boss, I thought i could do a better job. I would tell the other dogs off when they were being silly. I would growl and grumble at them. A few days ago, one of the dogs looked at me a bit funny (if you know what i mean) so i really told him off and we got into a fight. My owner got in between us and I accidentally bit her as she put her hand in to separate us. I really didn’t mean to. I love humans actually. I’ll do anything for them (because I’m very intelligent you see) and I’m also very loving towards them. It’s just other dogs I’m not to keen on. Anyway, because of this fight , my human can’t look after me anymore and I have to find a new home. Can you help me? Can you be my new human. I’ll promise I’ll love you and play with you. I’d rather not be with any other dogs though ( unless you can help me learn that being around other dogs is a good thing). I just want to find one home that will keep me forever because I’m fed up with being passed around. It’s scary when then happens.

Please can you help me? Can you love me and be a strong leader for me? If you can, I’ll be a wonderful dog for you.

Bruno is house trained, neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped – he is good with other dogs, children and people – he does have accute fear issues
when someone knocks on the door we are therefore looking for an experienced owner who can work through his fears. If you can give Bruno the loving home he deserves then please call Rita on 07775 881220.
