Welcome to PURE Dog Listeners. This is an exciting new venture for Caroline and me and we look forward to continuing to help dogs and their owners resolve any problems they may have and get back to what they should be doing: what dog ownership is all about, enjoying life and each other.
Dogs and owners are placed under so many pressures and restrictions in todays modern world that what should be fun can become a chore. Stress builds up, wrong signals are sent and before you know it you have a problem. separation anxiety, fear of noises, obsessive behaviour, aggression to humans and or dogs, pulling on the lead, failing to return on a walk. These and many others are the problems that people come to us with on a daily basis. We are neither Bob the Builder nor Barack Obama but when we’re asked “Can you fix it?” We are happy to reply “Yes we can!”
When we see the light come back on in a dogs eyes it is a truly humbling experience and one that never fails to move us. each time it happens it’s like the first time. This very often happens when we are consulted by someone who has taken on a rescue dog. The new owner of course wants the best for their dog but often the dog has learnt that humans are not always to be trusted. Experience has shown that the dog can only rely on itself for survival. The dog is wary of the human but the human knows that they just want to keep the dog safe and shower them with love. they keep trying to cuddle and reassure the dog who then feels trapped. Both owner and dogs are now in a downward spiral of mutual misunderstanding. A PURE Dog Listener will cut through all the confusion and get dog and human on the same wavelength. It’s not always only the dog and ‘owner’ that benefit. Often canine behaviour problems can cause strife in families, between husband and wife or parents and children and as always there is always the complaining neighbour. So, before you get a divorce, sell the children or move house consider using a PURE Dog Listener.

Good luck with this new venture
